Accessibility Statement
Medina Community Library is committed to providing a website and library information that are accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We are working to improve the accessibility of our website, medinacommunitylibrary.us, and to make our digital content easier to use, understand, and navigate.
Conformance status
We are working toward Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. At this time, the website is partially conformant, and we do not yet claim full conformance. Accessibility improvements and testing are ongoing.
Known limitations
We are aware of some areas that may still affect access:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. Contact us if you need an alternate format.
- Third-party services linked from the site (for example the online catalog and ebook apps) are operated by other organizations and may have their own accessibility limitations.
- Further review of color contrast and body typography on some pages may continue after this statement’s date.
We are working to address these items. If you have difficulty accessing information because of one of these or another barrier, please contact us so we can help you find the information in another way.

Compatibility and assistive technology
We intend for the website to work with current, commonly used web browsers and assistive technologies. Accessibility can vary depending on the browser, device, settings, and assistive technology being used. We continue to test and improve the site, and we welcome reports about compatibility problems.
Relay and communication access
For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, 711 Texas Relay is available. You may also contact the library using the information above.
Requesting an accommodation
If you need an accommodation or effective communication support to use our website, attend a library program, or access library information, please contact us using the email or phone number above. We will review your request and make reasonable efforts to identify an effective way to provide access.
Requests for services such as an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, assistive listening support, captioning or transcripts for program recordings, or an alternate format (including accessible versions of PDF documents) should be made as early as possible—ideally at least seven (7) business days before the program or needed date—so we have time to evaluate and coordinate the request. Availability is handled on a request-by-request basis and may depend on staffing, vendors, and advance notice.
